1-Ton Mini-Split Installation in Loxley, AL
For this Loxley installation, we mounted a new 1-ton ACIQ mini-split, connected the indoor and outdoor units, and tested cooling after startup.

The indoor unit and refrigerant lines
We mounted the indoor unit in the center of the back wall and ran new copper refrigerant lines to the outdoor condenser. The installation used 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch lines. The indoor unit recorded for this project is model ACIQ-KE12W-HP115B.
A new pad for the outdoor unit
Outside, we installed a new 18-by-36-inch condenser pad and strapped the unit securely to it. The project photo shows the completed outdoor unit and its refrigerant-line connections beside the metal exterior wall.
Power connected and the wall opening sealed
The installation included 115-volt power to the system. We also sealed the opening where the refrigerant lines pass through the wall with spray foam.
STARTUP & RESULT
Started, tested and cooling
After the installation, we started the system and tested its operation. It was running and cooling properly at the end of the visit.
